Doors and Windows

There is a reason windows can be opened, but aren’t treated like doors. Doors aren’t opened all the time to unwrap a landscape. They let people in, shut people out. Cats come in with a surprise, dogs run out with no permission. Yet windows see days where people exit them. They’re easily broken because they show what’s on the other side. The fragility comes from the purpose of a window, not the property of glass.

In a house of apertures, be a window; with colored glass enamoring the plain white curtains.
